MY DIY incubator thread
Hi everyone! I'm picking up a mini fridge with glass door today, and even though I most likely won't need it for 2 years, I found a deal and can't pass it up! It doesn't work anymore, so I'm getting it for a good price.
Here is a pic of it.

The dimensions inside are 17W 13D and 29H. There are 4 adjustable shelves, which means 5 spaces that are 5.8inches each. The sterlite shoeboxes are 4 something inches tall, so I was thinking I could fit about 10 in here, or 8 with water bottles on the bottom.
I plan on using perlite and light diffusers in the bottom of each tub?
Probably going to run 11" flex watt in the back, and was thinking about getting the VE-200 thermostat. Plan on hooking up 1-2 computer fans in the top to circulate the air?
Thoughts? Comments?
Project won't likely start for a little while, but wanted a home for my progession.

My dad has suggested I mount and outlet where the compressor was wired to the power source, and then plug the heating into that.
I'm going to hopefully extend the wires with wire and wire nuts to the bottom to hook up a fan, which I'm hoping I can mount to blow diagonally throughout the fridge? Would this be okay?
Anyway, the way my dad and I were talking about it, we were thinking about hooking the fan up to the lighting wires (says no more than 15w to it), and then mounting the outlet hooked up to the outlet where the compressor used to be, and then pluggin the thermostat into that outlet and the whole thing into the wall. This would make it a nice clean set up wiring wise.
Does this sound ok???

Light diffusers are in the tubs! Have one extra tub and extra diffuser material if needed.
I wired the light switch wires together to simulate the door always being open, meaning the light would technically always be on, meaning I can hopefully wire the fan to the wires so that the fan will always be on when plugged in.
