    Trinity is gone

Last winter Trinity started showing signs of RI again. We did culture/sensitivity test and started him on antibiotics again. This time the infection would not clear. We did tests, and more tests. Changed antibiotics many times and still the symptoms got worse. Recently there started to be a tinge of blood to the mucus (this is never a good sign).

    A Necropsy is being performed.

I am sure that Trinity is in a better place now, with no pain and discomfort.

    RIP my fat boy.

    Re: Trinity is gone

Trinity had been ill for a very long time, so these temps. will seem high.

    Ambient temp. 84-85

    Hot side temp. 87-88

The room is humidified to 40-50 percent.

There was a cat litter pan of fresh water on the hot side at all times raising the enclosure humidity to 60-70 percent.

What were the "running around" temps?

    Humidity?

    Age of snake?

    Substrate?

    Re: Trinity is gone

    2kdime,

The temps and humidity are listed above. I kept him on un-printed news paper for ease of cleaning and disinfecting the enclosure. Trinity would be 4 years old this year. I acquired him at 2 years old and have had never ending problems since the day I brought him home.

Oh okay, so those were what he was kept at since he's been kinda sick from the get go.

I thought maybe the environment was altered in response to the health issue.
