2nd posting on CL for a broken wine cooler or display fridge.

I would think in Tucson, AZ I would get some responses on my wanted craigslist ad. I have been trying to get something with a glass front to use as an incubator for this upcoming season, with no luck. To my surprise all the appliance repair shops don't keep broken appliances. Any other suggestions how to acquire one of these mythical creatures?

Freecycle. Post it as a "want." Doesn't cost anything and you can likely end up with one for nothing more than being willing to haul it off.

It took me about 2 months to find a decently priced wine cooler, and 6 months to find my full sized Pepsi fridge on craigslist. Just keep looking every day.

Try calling the local pepsi suppliers and ask what do they do with all their broken coolers, you may get lucky.

I guess all I needed to do was post about it here. I've been talking back and fourth with a lady that has a broken wine cooler from CL, it's about 3' 2' 2' which is perfect for my application. I'm still waiting on a picture because she said it has a smoked glass front. If I can still see through it I will snag it up. She only wants $10. If this one doesn't work out, I will try the other great options you guys provided. Thanks.

I tried to do a search on here on how to remove the extra parts like freon and pipes, but couldn't find anything specific to it. Do any of you know any links to help me out?

make friend with the local group at your publix/winn dixie/walmart, sometimes they toss out the lil display coolers and the employees can snag them up after a shift.

There just don't seem to be many available in MN here. We ended up shelling out $30 for a working one.

I just picked up a magic chef wine cooler for $10! It is perfect at around 3' 2' 2', depending on what size tubs I get I can fit anywhere from 8 to 12 clutches AND some water bottles to stabilize the temps. The shelves are all glass, I should replace them. I don't think the temps will be as uniform unless I use something that lets air pass through. What materials are out there that are easy to obtain and cut for shelving? The only other thing I don't like is that it has a smoked glass front. It just makes it a little harder to see through, but will more than work.

At first I am just going to heat tape without a fan to see how even the temps are. If I need to I will get a CPU fan, hopefully I won't have to. I can easily fit 2 11" pieces vertically down the back, I usually only see people using one. Should I do the same?

Either way, I'm real happy I found one. I have been looking for a long time.
