    Hey There!!

I use Spyder Robotics thermostats. All depends on what setup you have, but you can't go wrong with the Herpstat. It is a solid product. You can order them from All Reptiles here in Toronto or from Royal Python Ranch - I'm not sure of any dealers in the east coast. Hope this helps.

    Hey there,

I would suggest the RBI Vivarium Electronics VE-100. I'm not sure about shipping to Canada but I would contact Rich to find out if he ships to Canada.

Another suggestion is the Hydrofarm MTPRTC. Again I'm not sure about Amazon's shipping to Canada but I would contact them to find out.

Herpstat. I buy mine direct from Dion at (http://www.spyderrobotics.com/store/) I have had no problems with shipping or better as it is made in the USA it is duty free.

Greg West at http://www.cornelsworld.com/ also has them he is a great guy to deal with but with the exchange rate being what it is (95¢) I'd look into cross border shipping.

I've been happy with the herpstats I use and would recommend them. I can't advise on options to purchase in Canada.

I'll give you suppliers you can buy the other mentioned controllers from in Canada.

Hydrofarm (amazon.ca does not carry it and .com only ships to the usa)
http://www.bustan.ca/product_detail....ID=10&PID=1205 (shipping was expensive for me at least 25$)

    Johnson
    http://www.cornelsworld.com/johnson.htm

To me the herpstat is one of the best and the cost for options makes extra 35$ for it worth the cost. The VEs are reported to be great and rich is a great guy, I don't know if where is it made however and the last order I got from Rich at R. basics I got killed with duty and brokerage fees. I ended up paying the site price and 75% more in fees, I am quite cautious now.

I have ordered 3 herpstat pros and a herpstat2 and ND from Dion and not got hit with duty or brokerage fees or even tax at this point. It just arrived on my doorstep.

Thanks everyone for the input and advice. And on a side note, Amazon does ship to Canada, I checked, for anyone wondering.

    Thanks again!
