What are your feeding schedules to make male breeding machines?

I understand every snake is different, I'm just looking for the general habits of breeders. My male spider is around 800 grams and my male het pied is about 650 grams. I don't want either of them to eat too much and become lethargic non-interested males. I was planning on feeding nothing larger than a small rat once a week, but would like others opinions. What are your schedules to maintain lean mean breeding machines?

Step 1: Feed big hets and co-dom males as much as they like, because some of them like to fast for 5 months at a time during winter.

Step 2: Offer tiny 2009 pied male rats (refused), large mice (refused), small mice (taken, then spat out).

    Step 3: Pull out hair.

    Repeat weekly.

I personally don't think feeding schedule has allot to do with a male being a breeding machine or not. I'm sure if you power feed them until they are fat that would cause a problem because you want a healthy snake not a fat snake, But I think you will have the same issue with a female.

I have a 3 year old male albino around 1500 g that eats 1 small rat weekly and try's to lock with anything you put him in with. He locked the very first time I put him in with a female and produced his first clutch at 2 years old the first time I attempted to breed him. He is breeding with 4 females this year I have seen him locked with all of them and I believe he would take more If I gave them to him.

I also have a fire male about the same weight he is 2 years old on the same feeding schedule and I have not seen him lock yet. I have a couple girls I think he bred but still no eggs so I'm not sure but I have not seen him lock.

My third male is a pastel het ghost he is 3 years old and only about 1000 g same feeding schedule but he likes to go off feed. He also locked the very first time he was put with a female and produced a clutch at 1.5 years old. I only have one female for him to breed so I don't know how many he would breed if I let him but I think it would be quite a few.

I know this is a very small sample size but my 2 males the same size on the same feeding schedule have completely different attitudes about breeding.

I feed my males one appropriate sized prey item per 7-10 days.
