What's the ambient temp has to be in the enclosure?

about 80 on cool and 92 on hot

So I am still trying to figure this out. I have 78 to 80 on cool under the hide. On the hot side under the hide is 90 and ambient temp in the enclosure is 80 to 83 is that right?

That is spot on. Ambient air temps are often forgotten it rarely appears on care sheets and is not spoken of much. Kudos!

In case it matters to you here is why.

Snakes have long organs, everything we have only stretched out to fit a tube. The lungs (most snakes have two but one is very small and is partially used as a diaphragm which they do not have) The long lung runs past the heart and liver and most of the arteries run past it at some point.

The surface temp of the hot side warms the skin which in turn warms the blood in veins that returns past lungs to the heart. If the AIR in the lungs is cold, it cools the warmed blood and presto you have a cold core temp.

Warm surface temps and cool core temps can lead to burns. Warm air warms the blood going to (arterial) and from (veins) the rest of the body and aids in thermoregulation. It is very logical if you think about it. Ever go outside in really cold weather and the air is so cold it 'takes your breath away' same thing.

No Problem I am glad to help out.
Ambient temps often sort them selves out once everything else is correct, the change in seasons and room temps effect them a lot more than surface temps so in the spring and fall winter and summer I keep a careful eye on them. Oddly at least for me it is spring that sees them dip the most after the heating is off in the house, on those odd cold nights it will drop.

I think I got it stable now. I have 90 to 93 hot side and 78 to 80 cool side and ambient temp at 80 to 82 and humidity at 50 to 55

That will work, watch your hot side temps 93 is getting up there. When you see shed sign you can raise the humidity a bit and that too will be good.
