Why do BRBs make good pets, and what do you think makes them unique?

So I've finally decided (for sure) that I want to save up for a BRB. I was just wondering why any BRB owners decided to buy one, and what makes them unique/special?? Thanks!!!

Mine is special because it is the spawn of satan. Other than that I think what makes them special is in the name ...

Both of mine are great, puppy dog tame, both of them like to burrow in everything, so im assuming thats a BRB thing, its pretty funny. Both of them came from high red clutches (love the colors) and they have a purple sheen over them in the right light. Ask me their one of the most unique snakes out there.

Oh man I could go on forever about them Just like everyone else, the main reason I was attracted to them at first is how they look... definitely one of the most stunningly beautiful types of snake out there... just wait until you hold one, every time I take mine out all I can do is admire his awesome markings and his iridescence. His silver eyes are really cool too. And then the other reason was because I wanted to get a boa, but with me being small I didn't feel I could handle a RTB. I really like their small size.

And lastly they usually have a pretty docile temperament as long as you handle them. Mine is very curious and watches everything I do. They're just such beautiful and interesting snakes to own

A couple reasons why we have a pair of BRBs:

They are beautiful - oranges, reds, and iridescent

They are a nice size - not too big and not too small for most people

They aren't AS common as ball pythons, corn snakes, etc

They give live birth, which is just cool

-Brazilian Rainbow Boas are one of the most beautiful snakes on the planet.
-They are easy to handle and typically have a mellow temperament once they get past the baby nippy phase.
-Rainbow Boas have a strong feeding response, and are generally consistently good eaters.
-Even full grown, Brazilian Rainbow Boas stay a manageable length of 5-7 feet long.

People seem to blow their concerns about maintaining humidity out of proportion. Brazilian Rainbow Boas require higher humidity than some other species of snakes, but it can be easily maintained by using a cage with limited ventilation, a large water bowl, and a damp hide box. With a properly set up cage, Brazilian Rainbow Boas are no more difficult to care for than any other snake.


Here is one of my male Brazilian Rainbow Boas named Apollo:
