    How long is to long?

My male normal has not defecated since April 21st. He had been off feed for a little while but has since started eating again. I know he is not dehydrated becaause he urinates quite often and his skin isn't dry or wrinkly. I do not see or feel any swelling on him. I have tried to soak him and it has not helped him to defecate. I am worried about constipation. I do notice that his colors are starting to darken up and that he should soon be entering a shed cycle. He is due to be fed tonight. He is currently feeding on live small rats. I have never encountered this issue with a bp before. Perhaps I am just being overly paranoid. I will take him to the vet soon though if he does not defecate.

If he has water, and is not dehydrated, he will poo when he's ready

Ok. Thank you for the quick response, much appreciated. Puts this paranoid mind of mine at great ease.

Yup, as long as you're providing fresh water, he should go when he's ready... Mine usually go when they shed, so you may be getting a present soon. If not and you're worried about it, give him a lukewarm soak for about 15 minutes and that tends to move things along...
