    Crap Odds

So my six egg clutch of spider x normal just hatched a few days ago and from the day I cut I couldn't wait for these babies to come out because they looked amazing! Even the normals had super clean and light patterns and I planned on holding any of the females back because they looked like they would make some incredible babies of their own someday. The spiders are also among the brightest I have seen (My picture was taken with a cell phone and probably doesn't do justice). It turned out to be 2 spiders and 4 normals, which obviously wasn't stellar but only one off the odds so I couldn't complain. Like I said I figured the quality made up for the missing spider. Then after they crawled out of their eggs I started sexing and snake after snake turned out male until ALL SIX snakes were out and MALE. Grrrrrr looks like I won't be holding any back (although the lighter of the two spiders might replace one of my spider breeders). I better get great odds on my het albino clutch now! P.S. As bitter as I sound I am very grateful to have hatched six beautiful, healthy snakes.

    Great looking babies
The plus side is they will all be ready to breed in a year or so

Ha thanks for the optimism but I don't think many people are looking for normal males for their breeding projects.

    Hi,

I'd Loooove to see better pics of the spider who's body is at the bottom of that pic.

I'ts killing me you are an ocean away if the rest of his pattern looks like that.

Also here is proof that these normals look abnormally bright and clean. Pictured on the left is one of this clutches' babies (looks like junk because it still hasn't had its first shed) next to one of my average babies from another clutch (shed yesterday).

Well they may all be male, but they're all fantastic looking! I agree, that really reduced spider is going to give me grief now because of how far away it is lol! And the two reduced normals are great looking! (What can I say, I like normals )
    1.0 Normal - Maynard
    1.0 POG - Victor
    0.1 YB - Diana

    0.1 Pastel Boa - Astrid
    1.0 Salmon Boa -

    1.1 Leopard Geckos

    Nice clutch.

Don't feel bad about the odds...it happens to everyone. I had a het.-to-het. g-stripe breeding. 'Got 7 eggs. Hatched 6 possible hets. and one g-stripe...which never made it out of the egg. However, the 6 normals are all doing great...go figure.
