My guess is its a female and he over probed and punctured something and caused some bleeding.

I dont trust probing on a species you can pop no matter what size they are.

The guy who probed him went up pretty high...afterwards it bled a little.... had a little blood on the newspaper..then he said it could still be a girl..does that make sense ..i just figured he was trying to make me feel better he thinks it is male cause the probe went pretty high...but why did it bleed...

Seems like you need someone a little more experienced to sex your snakes

The person either know how to probe or he/she doesn't.

The fact that the person alone says "it could still be a girl" means that they do not know what they are doing but realized they just injured the animal.

Learn to pop and this will NEVER happen again, also have this snake sexed properly by another more experienced person and this time make sure the person is popping the snake.

Sounds like this guy is an idiot. I have never made any snake bleed probing it! If you know how to properly probe a snake it will not bleed and you can be pretty confident of the results.

Too bad you're in NY. If you lived closer I'd probe/pop it for ya.

thanks for the offer just alittle too far...For the guy who probed him for me... I can't be that mad at him i have bought 2 beautiful snakes from him and he gave me great prices and he was just doing me a favor...

I've been keeping balls for 6 years and breeding for 4. I've never learned how to probe. I'm happy with my pooping skills. As long as your gentle there are no issues. When you really know what to look for you really dont even need the spurs or hemipenes to pop out you can Just look at the base and know. Probing has always kinda scared me I guess. But I've never been wrong with popping. Work on popping a little more.
