boa in waterbowl alot
My Argentine x red tail seems to be soaking in his waterbowl alot,I have inspected him or her for for mites, and the waterbowl for mites. The warm side is about 85 my temp gun says. Is this just normal Boa behavior?

My boa really likes her water bowl also. I find her in there every few days. Being an albino it is easy to check for mites in her and I haven't seen any. She just seems to like being in her water bowl.....

Our boa ends up in her waterbowl every 2-3 days for a few hours. She'll rest her head on the edge and just watch us go about our business. I am pretty sure its a normal boa thing.

Boas do this from time to time, especially weeks prior to shed..

Re: boa in waterbowl alot
I've got a few baby boas that are soakers as long as you don't see any little mites at the bottom of the water bowl I wouldn't stress it. Like Rich said I would up the hot side a few degrees, they like it a little bit on the warmer side.
