    shed question/problem

Ok... so squeezer's first shed since I got him was this week. I thought it all went well, seemed like one big piece, but when I had him out today I noticed half of his head (covering one eye) and the first couple inches of him still have some skin hanging on. Should I try to get it off... and how would I do that? I'm especially concerned with the eye.

The first thing I always try is to put them in a damp pillow case/large snake bag that's tied so they can't get out. I've heard different times for how long you should leave them in there, but I usually do 30-45 minutes. They will typical rub it off trying to get out. I use luke warm water when I wet the pillow case/snake bag.

I would...Just peel it off, you can wet it if you want. Just make sure to peel from the head towards the tail. If you can get a piece of skin just below the eye you can get the eye cap right along with it. If not you can use a wet cotton ball to rub the eye cap off.

I'll try the pillow case... he doesn't want me anywhere near his face with his eye like that.
