    Herpstat Pro

I have been running a herpstat pro on my rack system for the last 6 months or so. I just moved the rack to a new location, but left the settings on the herpstat the same. Now the herpstat is reading 120 at 0% power. My acurites inside the tubs is reading at 98. Any ideas on why it is now over heating? The herpstat is set to proportional and before I moved the rack was heating the flexwatt to 95 and around 88 in the tub.

Did your probe perhaps get bumped or moved off of the heat tape when the rack was moved? That would definitely cause that problem.

I reset the probes and it is still measuring the high temps

    Re: Herpstat Pro

The most common scenario like this is the probes are not plugged back into the right jacks. For instance if you accidentally plug the probe going to the first rack into the #2 slot and vice-versa. What happens is one environment will overheat and the other won't get to temp because its monitoring the wrong environment. Follow your probe wires and your electical wires and make sure they match up.

Dion beat me to it. Of course he's the expert lol. I did exactly what he said when I moved my racks once. Took me a few minutes to figure out what I had done wrong.
