    My Tambi!

So I figured I'd get some pictures of my new love up Tambi is a late 2010 normal, just purchased in March. She is everything I could have asked for in my first snake: gorgeous, curious, sheds perfectly, and, best of all, a brilliant F/T eater. Never rejected a single meal yet, not even when I switched from mice to rats!

This first set of photos were taken about a week after I got her. At first I was worried about her skinniness, though she ate fine and everything I read told me she was being fed the right sized prey. However, a measurement a month later revealed all that food was going into growth rather than girth: she'd jumped about three inches in length, potentially four, from 22 inches (at most) to 25! I'm not sure what the average growth rate in BPs is, but to me that's on the speedy side.

Early in the morning, just after I'd turned the lights on. Was lucky enough to catch her exploring her branch :]

These were taken just a few days ago when I should have been studying, haha. But it was just too nice out not to take her outside the first time. The day was slightly overcast, but then all of a sudden it got really sunny, and the pics from that timeframe were easily the best of the lot. I didn't keep her out there too long after that, didn't want her to get stressed in all that bright light. It really played up her colors, however!

She's got some lovely blushing along her body, but it's definitely strongest around her neck.

    Pointer snake!

Probably my favorite picture of her so far.

As you can see, she's still pretty slender, but is slowly improving girth-wise. The camera refuses to acknowledge the blushing on her body for some reason.

    That's all for now!

Aww what a cutie! I'm a serious sucker for normals. Almost picked up another one the other night but the couple who was selling her backed out because she was so beautiful they realized they couldn't let her go. Hopefully they change their minds, I can't get enough normals!

Great example of a normal...some of those pics her colors almost look like a lesser. Thanks for sharing and awesome buy!

    Re: My Tambi!

Beautiful normal!! She does have some really nice blushing on her, and I love those outdoor shots!! My girl grew longer rather than wider at first as well, it's interesting how they're all individuals.
