It's scared now, and was likely handled poorly. But to say it will always bite, is unfounded, because no one knows. You have to regain your BP's trust back and just handle him more. You may get bit the first few handlings, but he may or may not come back around.
Good luck.

As much as I'm sure people will resent me for saying this... I don't think BP's have the mental capacity to be permanently scarred by a single event. They seem to learn from repeated things(this side is warm, over there is cold) and will definitely react to recent events, but life long emotional scarring... that might require a bit more mental capacity.
I think she's in defensive mode at the moment after a rough time, but give it a while and she should be back to normal.

She is just stressed from the event! I would just leave her completely alone for a week or two. You can feed her like normal and change her water but other than that, leave her be! She will be okay!

Any animal can be imprinted permanently. For instance, if an animal eats something that is poisonous and survives, it will never eat that item again. I dont think this is the case in this example however.
0.1 Normal Ball Python--> Tuna
0.0.1 Anery Cornsnake---> Sable
I have no fear of losing my life - if I have to save a koala or a crocodile or a kangaroo or a snake, mate, I will save it.

Also they cam and will be traumatized from serious injury from prey. They will never eat that type again and some have had a very very hard time getting a ball that has been scarred like that to even eat. But again this is not the case. I think it's just very very stressed. But they do have the capability of being scarred for life from traumatic events.
