    Odd Behavior?

Well I held my new baby ball today for the first time. I got him a week ago today. He is pretty chill didn't really jump or wasn't too scared either. But what I was wondering is when he started moving up my arm he would wrap all the way around and start like flexing? And his scales would push backwards on my arm. It doesn't hurt, it just makes me wonder if he is trying to shed? and use my arm as a rubbing post or what? lol

maybe he's just having a hard time moving about your arms, when handling him just hold him with both your hands it'll make him more comfy

    Re: Odd Behavior?

I would say he is trying to find his balance, and all he can do is indeed use his muscles.

My baby was doing the same when she was not long and strong enough to really control herself around my arm.

I highly doubt it has anything to do with shedding.

Just like Cinner said, they need to have two 'supporting points' to be comfortable/able to move themselves properly.

That sounds like he was just holding on....to keep from falling.

I would not reccomend you feeding a baby hamster to your snake. These little creatures have extremely sharp teeth and could really hurt your snake. Have you tried a small adult mouse?

Hamsters/ gerbils = bad news. Don't do it. If he's refusing food stop handling immediately only handle when absolutely necessary. Check your husbandry. If it's not a shed then stress sounds like your culprit for refusing food. These guys won't starve to death but stress will cause him to refuse food. Try adult mice only offer 1 every 5 days. If he doesn't eat it try again in 5 days. Don't offer him to much as it will cause him to get stressed.

Are you sure he can eat an adult mouse? He is only 17 long and about He just refused a Hopper today. I didn't try the hamster. But he is all over his tank looking around and stuff but he just doesn't want to eat. I put the hopper in his hide that he is usually so I hope he eats it overnight. Heres some pics of him.
