    You'll say WOW..

Both of these animals are hatched from the same clutch of 6-27-2009..The growth and lack of is absolutly profound..The female is 57 inches and about 10-11 lbs and doesn't miss a meal..The male has never taken a meal on its own accord..I have push some rat tails down him and he has shed 7 times and probably grown 7 inches but doesn't hold any significant weight..What has gone in gets passed so he's apparently internally correct..

Wow! I saw the pic first and I thought, "Oh a momma and her hatchling." lol I can't believe they are clutch mates.

That is pretty amazing! I would have never guessed that they are siblings from the same clutch.

    Re: You'll say WOW..

    Mr. Tim,

Wow, yea he does look like a hand full, please pardon the pun.

    Just a thought.

Last week I spoke to one of the Vet Techs. at the clinic. She may be a member here, I don’t know. She said she was having some success with tub feeding (some slightly pasty, protein mess) to a hatchling ball python that was refusing meals on his own. I don’t know how often, but she said he was growing and starting to take meals on his own.

Do you think that this guy would benefit from something like that?

Bill Haast of Miami serpentarium used a past to tube feed all the animals in his milking program for years with great success. with all the stress of being in a venom production line I think he had problems with animals going off feed allot and this is the solution he used. I wouldn't say it a good first choice but it defiantly has proved useful in some situations.

WOW is right! They are both beautiful too.

We had a BP that hatched in September '10 not eat on his own till about month ago. He's at 76g right now (I think he hatched out at around 65g). Not sure if you've tried it but I gave him a course of Bene-Bac for reptiles and after a few more assist feeds he started eating on his own. Good luck with the littel guy .
