    Fire-Spider

Im just curious as to why the fire spider is so much, I like to look around on kingsnake classifieds and their anywhere between 1200 to 1500. That seems kinda crazy for two genes. I know fire is cool but still.

it comes down to the seller can put watever price he wants on the snake yes some of them are high some of them are low but its really wat the person thinks its worth if he doesnt sell any then i guess he will lower his price eventually i saw on a website the guys pricelist had a kingpin for 3000 that too is a double gene animal but he thinks its worth 3000

It all comes down to supply and demand.. How many fire spider combos have you seen? Not many huh. People will pay that price for three reasons: it's a breeder with a good rep, it's an uncommon combo, and it eliminates the chance of getting any normals in a clutch.

It might not look like a great snake but if you put a morph in it like pastel you can make bubble bee fires and those are hot

Fire spiders are awesome and powerful. Worth every penny... There aren't many of these snakes but imagine breeding one to simply a pastel YB. You can't say it should be reduced in price when 3 years ago fires cost more then a bumblebee. Those fires are finally breeders and people are selling fire spiders for what they are worth.

As said before, supply and demand, and supply on them is LOW.

Fires are going for CHEAP these days, and pastels even cheaper. You could likely get a pair for under $300 (probably low quality as far as color goes). HOWEVER, fireflies are still fetching over $1k a piece, simply because there just aren't that many of them despite the quantities of fires and pastels that were produced last year.

Now regarding fire spiders, I haven't even seen one of those for sale lately, and I don't think i've ever seen one in person at any of the shows I've hit up.

"it eliminates the chance of getting any normals in a clutch." would be a false statement you breed that snake, the fire/spider to a normal or a pastel or anything that is not a super and you still have the chance of getting a normal.
