Snake bathing questions

I was just wondering what everybody does when it comes to bathing your snakes. My main question is what kind of water are you using? I have no problem bathing my little guy in a shoe box but my new big male couldn't possibly fit in a shoe box so I'm thinking more toward the bath tub. Suggestions?

Regular tap water is what I use when I need to soak a snake. I try to go for about skin-temperature. As long as you watch and obviously have the drain plugged I don't see how a bath tub soak wouldn't be just fine, just make sure you don't put too much water in it.

I use a sterilite tub with a locking lid. Shallow luke-warm water for a little while. If it's to help remove stuck shed, I put a wet cloth in there with him.

I usually just put them in a tub with a heat pad and a wet towel. If it has only a few/no holes in the tub the humidity is as good as making them sit in cooling water.

I use a rubber maid container with 88ºF water in it it will cool and so I check it and when it hits 80 I take the snake out. It usually takes about 20-30 min but that would be dependant on how much water and how warm your place is. I'll usually have a towel island in the tub too. The water should be no deeper than half way up the side of the snake. An adult male about an 1 1/2 deep or so.

Regular tap water works well. Remember 88 doesn't feel to us very warm. I shower at about 100ºF maybe warmer. That is too warm for your snake.

Wait a minute...bathing or soaking? I've soaked snake when she/he has had a bad shed...but i have never bathed my snakes...? Should I be bathing my snakes? Are they dirty?

No dirtier than dogs/cats who lick themselves, eat their own feces, etc.

If they have poo'd and rolled in it, I will bath/soak them. Sometimes they just get "that" smell to them and they will get a short soak with one or two drops of dawn dish detergent.

I use a tupperware container because all of my guys are still small, but I'll probably use a sterilite container once they get big. I buy bottled water by the jug for them (not just for bathing). I put it in the microwave for a bit and test my temp gun for no more than 90*. With the water filled up to cover half their body, I just close the lid and let them soak for a bit.
