    Finally!

After two months, my two-year-old male decided that he likes food again. Silly little jerk! I know it's a natural thing but it's still stressfull to have a pet not eat for that long considering the turtles eat every day(as often as they can; they're pigs!).

I know your pain. I finally got all my males going again from breeding season. One stopped before the season and he went 6 months the other 4 months. It's comforting to know that they barely lost any weight what so ever. That's how I knew it was just winter fast. My record keeping and weight checks pays off in the end so I dont have worried nights up.

    Re: Finally!

He wasn't loosing any weight and the husbandry was perfect so I wasn't overly worried. It's definetely a huge relief when they eat again though.

I don't even bother trying to feed Ramses from about January 10th to March first. I just know he won't take them, so it'd be a waste of perfectly good mice to try. But yeah, scared the crap out of me the first year I had him.

Good to hear he's back on food, keep your fingers crossed he keeps feeding.
