Super Black Pastel / Super Cinny?
How come you dont see many of these for sale ever? Its just a matter of breeding the two types together... (Black Pastel x Black Pastel or Cinny x Cinny) correct? Is it that there just not in that high of demand or what? To me this is one of the most gorgeous looking forms of BP morphs IMHO.....
Thoughts?

Re: Super Black Pastel / Super Cinny?
I'm not sure either. I have a Black Pastel male, and have been trying to find him a wife. They seem to still be fairly pricey, and slim pickens. I've been pairing him with my big girl on & off this season. Maybe I can produce a female. Then trade her off for another of unrelated lines. Even during the summer/fall they seem hard to find.
I agree, the supers are hot. Even though the adult version is a different color. Stinking bp's!

It's not that they are not in demand, it's the genetic problems with them.

Well besides the "Duckbill" issue, what else might there be?

Well when you produce the super form of either of those, there tends to be deformities more often then other combos. They have many kinks that tend to be unable to live through. And they also get duck bills. I love those morphs too but i'm afraid to end up with some unhealthy snakes. I dont think I could handle them dying on me or having to put him down.

Re: Super Black Pastel / Super Cinny?
Hi,
This is starting to worry me as I work with black pastels and will produce a super if it kills me.
I keep hearing about rumours of kinking in black pastel and cinammon super but I have never seen a single one posted.
Does anyone have any first hand experience of this happening?

I've heard it is better to cross the Black and Cinnamon snakes to make supers. I don't have personal experience but I've read that a healthier snake results. Just some bits I picked up. I'm a voracious reader.

Re: Super Black Pastel / Super Cinny?
Well from what I have read, as long as you are not "Line Breeding" you should not have any significant deformities producing a super form of either of these two BP's
