    How important are ambient temps

So since I have had to stay with my parents for a while the house temps fluctuate alot, so I have to adjust the lamps atleast two times aday to keep ambient temps between 75-85 I do not have any problems with cool or hot side temps due to uth's and thermostats I have an ir temp gun to check, I'm taking a 4 day vacation and don't want my mom to have to mess with the lamps all the time, so if I set the lamps on low so that the ambient temps don't get too high, would it really be a big deal if the ambient got down alittle below 75 for a few hrs in the morning, just because it has been cool at night but hot during the day?

As long as the hot side temps are good you'll be fine.

BP's don't bask so ambient and radiant temps do not matter much to them. As long as you have a cool side and a warm side that has a surface temp of 88-92 you are good to go.
