    Scar or genetics?

    (Not my photo)
I was looking at this BP someone is selling and noticed the white patch. I've seen some "scars" turn scales completely white, but from this photo it seems so solid and bright I'm unsure. Opinions?
Not a very good picture, obviously, but the person selling it only has a number to call, and quite frankly I do not feel like talking on the phone. So, I figured I'd ask all of you first

    Re: Scar or genetics?

    Hi,

Photo resolution isn't good enough to see if the scales in that area are mishapen.

But I can't think of any morphs that look like that either - if it was calico the white would be in the alien heads not between them and if it was a ringer wouldn't it have more colour variation to it?

I do have black pastels that have white coming up the sides like that but it is along the length of the animal and that definately doesn't look like a black pastel.

Yeah, I had thought about each of the morphs you two listed, but none of them fit. He's only $20 (including 100gallon tank, lamp, and UTH.. although all I want is the UTH lol) but it's an hour and a half drive from my house. I'm extremely tempted but skeptical.

Shoot, for that price I'd take it all and resell the tank for more than that on CL. lol.

Haha, that's another reason I am so tempted, but I really don't think I have the space in my little car for a 100gallon tank! Plus, gas is so expensive, an hour and a half drive is painful at the moment :/ Still thinking about it, but at that price, I don't think I have long to think.

Hell, I'd make that 100 gallon fit in my two seater for $20. The resale on that tank would more then cover my gas.

So very true, plus I have another 4ft tank that I modified an acrylic hinged door onto that I'm selling, so there's more money.. I think I'll call the guy, lol

The person selling it says it's not a scar and the tank is actually 45-55g by the dimensions he gave me...he's holding it for me until tomorrow evening, I can't believe I just bought another BP. It's a sickness.. lol

What a great deal Congrats! I have a few bps with white marks like that. It makes them very unique.
