    Thoughts on Enchi Pied crosses

Kevin (NERD) stated recently during a talk at NARBC Houston that with the Enchi producing a low white pied combo, that it might renew hope with some pied combos where the pattern of the other morph caused a extremely high white pied (spider, super black pastel and recently the spotnose) or in the case of the lesser, an all white pied. So the question is, is anybody trying for a enchi/spider/pied, enchi/spotnose/pied, enchi/super black pastel/pied or enchi/lesser/pied? What's everybody's thoughts on the enchi gene possibly causing the pattern to stick when these other genes are added? Obviously the enchi will affect the color and pattern of all of these if they work at all but if it will cause it to not white out most of the snake (or all of it in the case of the lesser), then it at least keeps these combos from being end games. It's a bit of a risk unless you are one of those that already has an enchi pied and one of these others and can just breed them one season to see what you get. Starting at the ground floor it could be a lot of work only to find out the enchi won't hold the pattern. Maybe the Evil Morph God is working on it and will save the rest of us the guessing game

    Hi,

I really like the idea that there are genetic combos that do things like this.

And it just got me thinking about something - what does an enchi or super enchi BEL look like?

    Has anyone made one?

He also talked about the enchi pied cross stuff in a MaBalls.net youtube video a little while ago.. and I'm betting that since then everyone and their dog is a tleast thinking about trying it now or wondering what it's gonna be like...but with the way Kevin is...or at least the way I think he is...I'm betting he's close to producing some cool enchi pied crosses already, or else he wouldn't have said anything about it! LOL.

I've never heard of one...and I love that adding subtle genes like the enchi can do such amazing things like this!! It's things like this that keep the ball python craze going...all the new combos...new things being discovered every year...IT'S NEVER GOING TO END!!!!

Kevin has his enchi pied, if not multiple ones. There are enough pied combos out there that it would be super easy to produce spider enchi pieds or other combos mentioned above THIS SEASON. I'm sure we just have to wait it out and we'll answer those questions soon.

Frankly I want to see COLORFUL enchi pieds.. maybe an albino enchi pied, or super pastel enchi pied?

Re: Thoughts on Enchi Pied crosses

I will be doing 3 enchi pied crosses this year... I have a male enchi pied up to weight and he is breeding my 3 most prized females that shall remain a secret until I see what I get but I think it will be great. I will post pics if I hit the odds on what I am going for.

I have a enchi spider het pied from nerd. Will breed this year. The enchi ivory is out there already. Google the pictures. It makes a orange ivory. Maybe it will be the same to BEL.

By the way, my enchinspider het pied has lots white on her side, almost half white. And Andy told me the het pied added the nose on the side. They really believe the het pied gene can be seen in the combo.
