DUW! Lots of pics of Maru

My first snake, my normal ball python Maru! A little back story--She was our rocky intro into reptile keeping, inexperienced as we were, we ended up buying her as a yearling from people we thought were breeders but had actually imported her. So she came to us with tics, scars, and parasites out the wazoo! Didn't eat for 6 straight months! After that she ate like clockwork, but now seems to be going through her winter fast, but she should come out of that soon. Anyway, here are the pictures!

She's very pretty! Sorry to hear you had some tough experiences with her, but she looks great now!

Yes, she was one of those snakes where I'm like..if I had known at the time, I wouldn't have bought her...but at the same time, I'm glad I did, I LOVE my little angel!

Thank you very much! Most of the pictures were taken by Nathan, but I held the lights, lol! We switched back and forth so I took some, but he's much better at holding the camera still!

She's our biggest snake, though she hasn't grown in a couple years, we are pretty sure she's mostly done growing. Almost made us think she was a boy, but we had her sexed and she's definitely a lady, just a shorter girl. Our baby boa is almost as long as her now! I think she's mostly maxed out at 44 inches!

Surprisingly, despite her rough start, she's been one of our least troublesome animals. She avoided mites, hasn't been sick since we got her, and every shed comes out perfect. Lets hope the trend continues, and our boa gets to be as easy to take care of as her!
