    Exclamation Ball Python Problems

Hi I have a 4 year old ball python named Sam that has been eating live mice and rats and is currently sheding and I think he has a stuck shed. He hasn't eaten in about 4 weeks and just today his eyecaps turned blue I was wondering if he hasn't eaten because of him having a stuck shed or because the last rat I fead him bit him several times.

He also has never had a clean shed which I think is humidity related and in that case how would I keep his cage at 80 humidity. He has a 50 gallon fish tank and I use repti-bark for bedding

Completely unrelated, Ryan, but looking at your list, did you produce your BEL yourself from the two lessers? Just curious, as I've got a pair on my wish-list, finances allowing, for just that reason, lol!

4 years old, has he been eating regularly before? It might just be that time of year and may simply have girls on the mind...

he had been eating a rat or 2 mice every week and when he shed heed go a week or 2 without eating.

I don't know if its a boy or a girl but about a week ago we went without power for a while and his hot rock or lamp wasn't on for about a week and his cage temputure plummeted. Could that have simulated winter?

how are u measuring your humidity and temps ? and is that a heat rock that you have in there?

what you might want to do is cover 3/4 of the top and spray some water daily to bring up the humidity .
