Humidity Help
I've started using newspaper as "substrate" but I've ran into a problem - and it's name is humidity. I can only get about 45% H without soaking the paper. Any tips or tricks?

Sphagnum moss holds moisture well. I shoot the sides of the cage, not the floor so much.

Are you keeping your water bowl on the heatpad too?

I generally keep my water bowls in the center of the tub, so they are usually barely touching the heat pad, or off of it entirely.

Get it on the mat and your humidity will go up some

A few questions for you:
What's the top of your enclosure?
Is it a tank or tub and if a tank, is it a screen top?
I use newspaper for my corn and have noticed the same issue. Found this at another reptile web-site and built one to use with my BP's. I still mist their tanks twice a day but it keeps the ambient humidity up so I don't have to soak the bedding/sides/etc. Good luck and hope it helps!

It's a new racking system I built, so it's all tubs, but the site did help, thanks!
