Re: thermometers
I'm pretty sure that is a no. How would you know what probe the temps were coming from? I bought my temp gun from amazon. It was only $32, and free shipping. DEAL!

No I don't think so I have been looking at designs that would do so but to get accurate sensors it is quite expensive. Very actually, and there are alternatives that oddly are not much more a herpstat pro has 4 probes with accurate sensors and the cost for me to build a 4 probe unit was 60$ more than the pro.
I am quite fussy with accuracy bare that in mind. To me 0.5º up or down is accurate but the typical 2º up or down (almost ever IR gun and the majority of digital thermometers) I personally don't think that is very good.

like the indoor outdoor thermometers. just with more probes and either more read outs on a single display unit or be able to scroll through the temps associated with each individual probe.
just seems like it would be more convenient and practical to have a single location to be able to see all temps at a glance.

i guess the better question is which ones should i avoid?

Yup the PE2 is more accurate than most as well it is 1.8º up or down that is actually very good for an IR gun. The best ones are still only a 1º up or down and the cost is crazy.
