    Killer Clown

Im still trying to figure out the genetics in ball pythons and Im wanting to get into a killer clown project and was wondering I know you can breed two pastel het clowns together to get a killer but can you also produce one with a pastel clown bred to a pastel het clown?

yes and that will increase your odds of it to 1/8 so def a better way to go

    Yes to both!

The second option will just get you more Visual Clowns.

    of course you can

    pastel/het x pastel/het = 1/16 chance of killer clown
pastel clown x pastel/het = 1/8 chance of killer clown

What all will you get with breeding a pastel clown to a pastel het clown?

    I was thinking you get
    pastels het clown
    clowns
    pastel clowns

But do you also get super pastels since they both have the pastel gene or is that only with regular pastels?

Thank you all for taking time to answer my questions. Im just really excited about starting a killer clown project and wont to make sure what my best shots are at getting pastel clowns and killer clowns

    Yes, you'd get:

    Killer Clowns
    Pastel Clowns
    Clowns
    Super Pastels Het Clowns
    Pastels Het Clowns
    Het Clowns

With that pairing your Holy Grail snake would be a 1 in 8 (as others have already said).

    Cheers,
    -Matt

    Re: Killer Clown

your best bet to produce them without actually buying a killer clown, would be breeding super pastel het clowns or clown pastels, I would suggest pastel clowns to avoid possible hets.

Yea the only problem is I can not afford to purchase two pastel clowns. Im either going to go with a pastel clown and pastel het clown or a clown and a pastel clown. With my luck though I would breed a pastel clown and a pastel het clown and not even get a clown lol

From what I've seen, pastel clowns are selling for around $4500. That's why I went with hets.
