    Missing GTP help

Forgive me if this has been posted about already... I'm writing from my phone so searches are much more tedious.

My GTPs perch fell and knocked out the screen some time in the last 3 days while I was out of town. I know where to look for a bp, redtail, etc, but am hoping for "lost my snake" advice on GTPs. I expected to find her somewhere up high and in somewhat plain sight, but after two hours yesterday, no luck. I can't imagine she'd want to get under things or behind the fridge when she can just get on top, but I've never had her get out, so who knows.

In your experience, when given room to roam for long periods of undesterbrd time, has your GTP done alot of wandering or did it find a place and chill? Are there any unexpected places I should check for her?

Fed the other snakes this morning, left her cage open so she can get back in, etc. Any other advice would be great.

    Re: Missing GTP help

i have absolutely NO exp with GTP's but i do have a q...arent GTP's the really brightly colored snakes? like fire truck red and super bright green? cant imagine it being hard to find such a colorful snake like that unless the inside of your home resembles the rainbow, lol.
no seriously though, i hope your snake isnt in some crazy out of reach place like in the floor or walls.
    good luck with finding it.

You should definitely check low and high...also behind/under the fridge is an option because its dark and warm there, and the back of the fridge may have metal to climb and perch on

    good luck!

Absolutely, search high and low and don't think that anyplace wouldn't be a good place. Check it anyway. Good luck with finding him.

GTPs will seek refuge ANYWHERE!!!! search high and low!!! What kind of cage is he in??? Ive been keeping snakes for 10+ yrs and have never had one snake escape. If you go out of town maybe you shouldnt invest in a pet.

Leave out one or more prekilled or thawed F/T. Wait for the snake to come eat it's meal.

A few suggestions of where to look:
    • Drawers
    • The space behind wall mount kitchen cabinets
    • Inside upholstered furniture

    Re: Missing GTP help

I had that happen to me a few years ago. I found him in my closet, perched on a clothes hanger 3 days later. I hope you find him.
