wondering
hey guys how hard is it on ball python eggs to drop to 80* for a couple hours? is that long enough to harm them?

I'm sure they'll be fine if it was just a few hours, eggs are pretty hardy However you have to keep the temps consistent. Good luck..

Re: help
it got that low because im an idiot! somehow my heat coil got unplugged from my herpstat. not sure how but something i obviously did by accident on my lunch break. it must have happened around 1:30 probably held its heat until 2:30-3:00 and sat at 78* until about 5:30. i sure hope their alright.wheres the simile face beating his head against the wall when you need him!

Re: help
Here,

As long as you know what caused it it should be possible to stop it happening again was what I was hoping to hear.
If it was a mystery then you would never have known if it was going to happen again - and that would drive me so far round the bend I'd come back with souvenirs.

Re: help
They are probably fine. A heat drop is a lot better than a heat spike!
