    Size of tank

I have my eight month old ball python in a tank about 2 and a half feet long, a little over a foot high by a foot wide ...

my ball python is about 2 feet long already, do you think this tank will last my bp a good while ?

Becuase i might be getting another corn snake that comes in a 70 gallon tank, and the guy said the tank was only bough because his 40 gallon broke, he said the corn can be put back in a smaller tank no trouble ..

Would it be better to switch tanks for leave them where they are .. also thinking about getting another ball python... would it be better to keep them in seprate tanks ? my ball python was use to being in a tank with 3 others

Ball Pythons are solitary animals, housing more than one together will cause stress.
A 70 gallon tank is way to big for your snake, even a full grown Ball Python.

What gallon is the tank that your BP is currently in?
    0.1 Pastel
    0.1 Normal
    1.0 Spider

Ball pythons like small tight spaces. However, my view differs from a lot of people in this forum..so I may get bashed for this. I think big enclosures are fine as long as you make up for it in the number of hides available--Trekking across a giant bare space to get to another hide is terribly frightening, so having places to hide throughout the tank helps. My adult BP is in a 55 gallon tank and has about 6 or so of the same hides, as well as a ton of cover using decor and fake plants. There is not a single area of the cage where she does not have the option to get cover. At night she feels safe enough to travel throughout the entire enclosure and uses every inch of it. I've mentioned before that she is wild caught, so that very well could be the reason why it works for her, maybe a snake born in captivity who has never been out of a tub would indeed do better in tubs.

In the wild, ball pythons live in tiny little tight burrows. They like it tight, but they still need to thermoregulate. To me, I don't see why its a problem to have multiple tight burrows it can choose from depending on the temperature it needs, its not like their hides in the wild were surrounded by a small plastic box.

Of course, this means a lot more to clean when it comes to cleaning time, but it's fine for me and it works. I am able to maintain perfect heat and humidity, she never feels exposed, and she never shows any signs of stress.

Smaller enclosures are easier, less to clean, and you don't have to worry as much about keeping enough hides.
