More than one litters in one tub???

I'm trying to make some room in my tubs and was wondering if anyone puts more than one nursing mother and her litter in one tub? Will this be ok or will they kill eachothers pups? We use the mixing tubs they are 28 by 20 by 6. I was thinking 2 mothers n their pups 3 tops?

I seperate mine once they are about to have their babies. But, I've been told that you can keep a male and up to 3 females together with all the babies as long as they've been together since day one. Not sure it this will help. Like I said I don't put them together.

I leave them in from day one and have never had any issues in over a year! Even with a 1.3 or 1.4 group, they all make their own individual nests and sometimes share babies but thats about it.

as long as the litters are close to the same age, you shouldn't have any troubles. when the ages start getting spread out is when you're most likely to run into problems.

Whenever you have more than one mom in the tub you will probably lose some of the babies. Its just nature that says that the smaller babies will not be able to compete for food and they will usually die. That being said, you usually don't lose many and you usually only lose some in the first 7-10 days. After that all of the babies are USUALLY strong enough to compete for food.

I am going to be getting my mice going in pairs but right now i havent had that luck so i house my pregos with a non-prego to help care for the babies (nanny) It helps mom get out take a break, get some food and water while the other one keeps the babies in the nest and keeps them warm. I usually cull my litters down to about 8-10 per each that way moms have an easier time too but of course im only feeding 1 snake so i dont need the maximum amount per litter.
