Do cresties crests change as they grow?
Hi,
My little Lucien is growing so sloooowly.
I have been looking into getting another crestie and wondered at what weight/ size you know how their crests will look?
I see a lot of very small babies with virtually no crests and then see follow up pics where they are coming in quite impressively.
Not everyone puts pics of the parents in the ads so I was wondering if there were any clues? Width of head V's length for example?
Here is a pic of Lucien at 10.66g being a grumpy so and so at the restraint.

Are his crests as developed as they are going to get at this stage?

From what I've seen, they don't really change so much, but they do grow a little bit. Typically I see posts of hatchlings saying "Look at those crests!" or "This one will be crowned". I think the crests they're hatched with grow a little bit, but I don't think they grow any new ones.
His crests might become a little more profound, but I personally don't think they'll get much better.

Thank you,
Soneone on one of the other forums said he was deformed.
I knew he wasn't a great example or anything but I thought that was a bit strong.
