    Best present!!

I'm just too excited about my good news to not keep telling people.. I know not very many people on here know my situation, but my boyfriend and I live several states apart. I'm in Florida and he is in Indiana. It's a longgggggg story on how we ended up together, but we haven't seen one another since July. Needless to say, we're ready for a visit, lol. We have tried to set a few up over the past few months, but things have always fallen through before we got past the beginning discussions on planning. Well..

HE'S COMING! In 42 days he will be here for a WEEK!

This is seriously only second to when he moves back here for good I really hope the next month and a half flies by!

For anyone who has ever been in a long distance relationship, you know how hard it is. It's by far one of the hardest things I've ever done, but worth every second of it. By the time he comes to visit, it will have been over 8 months since we've seen one another besides webcam.

So ya, you can say I'm doing my happy dance..

I couldn't stand being away from my girlfriend (now wife) for 5 days at a time when I worked on the road. 8 months must be a nightmare!

Its a very romantic story hope he gets to move back to Florida soon.

It is We grew up with one another here in Florida, from the time we were about 3 years old. We were best friends and at 15, his mom moved them to Indiana and we lost touch. I never forgot about my best friend and childhood sweetheart. He was my boy next door

About a year and a half ago I was watching some childhood home movies and couldn't stop wondering where he was. I did a Facebook search, and surprisingly found him. After months of talking and a few visits, we made it "official" in July and since then we have been working on him moving back home to Florida.

I cannot wait! He tells me to quit threatening him that he's stuck with me, but I told him after a while I'll drive him so crazy he will be senile and will live in blissful ignorance

What a great story! I remember those "anticipation pangs" waiting for Charlie to come!! I met my husband while he was on training in AZ. He was stationed in Monterey, CA. He was here for 3 months and I think we instantly fell in love with each other. He went back to moneteray and I visited one time. Right after that he was offered a promotion to the pentagon. Like you can refuse that one!! He moved to DC and I of course stayed in AZ. I had an amazing job making close to 6 figures. Plus I had went to DC and it was just crazy!!! He spent the longest 4 years of my life there!!! Thinking back on it....I should of just quit my job...probably would of saved money in flights as it had gotten to a point where we had to see each other every month. He finally got another promotion and was able to finagle a position in AZ. We got married on New Years eve....moved in together the following July. We were here in Sahuarita for about 5 months when he got his orders to go to Iraq for 15 months. It was just the worst thing for me. I finally got my husband with me....and he gets sent away. ugh...... Well obviously we made it through...(knew we would) and he is home most of the time now. He still has to travel at times but not that often. It seems like a life time ago that I was in your shoes and let me tell you. Probably the hardest thing I ever had to go through. But if you can make that work.....you can make anything work. I do have to say there is nothing like how you cherish the time together when you live apart!

Fast forward to today...he leaves to go to work and I miss him.....lol

This means the world to me. We talk a lot about how if we can make it through this, there's nothing that will stop us. It is very, very hard but even when it's those really rough nights where I miss him like crazy, I can still smile through the tears and say without a doubt this relationship is worth it all. So often you hear of people doing LDR and not making it, so to hear from someone who has, is really encouraging. We absolutely do make more than the best of our visits. We talk for hours about things we want to plan to do when we're visiting. While his trip is about a month and a half away, we have already begun making plans, lol.

Oh yea.....I remember talking for hours on the phone and we would looked at new houses for 2 years in anticipation of being able to be together. I think the strongest marriges come from having to endure things like what you are going through. It is an exciting and hard time for you but sounds like its going to be well worth it
