    First morph?

I've had my pair of normals for a number of years...such great animals, and I haven't even tried to breed them yet. I was wondering where a good place to start with more exotic forms of Python regius would be.

I'm really partial to axanthic and albino morphs, myself...and some of these killer bee mutations are just gorgeous as well. I think I'd be gunning for producing an axanthic bee, and perhaps eventually some form of leucistic, but I know those will take time and careful breeding. So...where does one start?

If those are your favorite combos and you can't afford to jump into the designers, start with the bases for those morphs, like axanthic, spider, albino, pastel, or butter/lesser/mojave. Your cheapest ones are probably going to be pastel, spider, or mojave; just be aware that mojave X mojave BELs have a silver head--this can work both ways though. If you are partial to the silver-headed BELs, get mojaves, but if you want a cleaner BEL, stick to lessers or butters.

    1.1 Cinnamons
    1.1 Piebalds
    1.1 BEL (Super Butter/Lessers)
    1.0 Honeybee
    1.0 Pastel

Welcome aboard! You mentioned really liking axanthic's start off with a female. I love axanthic's got mine this past season after a couple years of waiting.

Good luck with your decision go with your gut do lots of research.

A good start for your goal would be to get an Pastel Het Axanthic female then save your money and next year get a Spider Het Axanthic male. Once they mature then you can make your Axanthic Bee! Simply buy what you love the look of and breed them! If you like them than mostly likey alot of others will too! After all, you will be the one looking at these animals everyday! Good luck, it's not an easy decision!

Just a few tips if you have never breed then you may want to start by breeding some normals and some low end morphs . The breeding process isn't just putting a male with a female and you have babies. It's a pretty complicated deal lol. But I wouldn't spend the money on some high end morphs breed them and end up doing something wrong or not keeping the temps right in the incubator and kill off a high dollar clutch. Im not intending to sound mean when i say this but atleast if you breed some normals or low end morphs first ..... They are only normals. I would be pretty mad if I did something wrong and killed of a clutch of Axanthic bees. Just some tips. Good luck and nice taste in the morphs you want to produce in the future.
