    Flexwatt breeding rack question

Ok this may be the wrong forum but here goes... I'm building a breeding rack and a hatchling rack and I'll be heating them with flexwatt for belly heat. My question is this, can I wire the separate strips of flexwatt from level to level together and then have only one plug for several levels instead of a plug per level? If I make it ten levels high I would really like to cut down on the clutter and have one or two plugs rather than ten. My thought is I would wire them together with a short jumper wire between levels. Has anyone done this? Thanks guys!

    Re: Flexwatt breeding rack question

    Yes it can be done.

Reptile Basics will assemble your flexwatt for you at no additional charges http://www.reptilebasics.com/

Or you can do it yourself http://www.beanfarm.com/heating/Flexwatt_parallel.pdf

    And both posts were merged

    Re: Flexwatt breeding rack question

you could do this i would just wire all the breader tubs together and all the hatchling tubs together...make sure you have 2 seperate t-stats or multipule temp probes like a herpastat 2 or pro...the hatchling tubs wont need as much heat as a breader tub so the flexwatt will be smaller and cannot be ran off of the same t-stat or wired together with the larger flexwatt...also make sure the total wattage dont exceed what you t-stat can do
