Is it okay to burn Incense around BPs?

so my mom loves the smell of incense and she burns it around the room where my bps are in and when she does i make sure the window is open and the room door is open. Is it okay to burn it around the snakes if the room is well ventilated?

Well i agree as some incense like Nag Champa smell amazing and make any house smell good. I haven't had any ill effects with my snakes and the smell. I have over 10 snakes in this room and everything is fine.

As long as the smoke isn't directly in the snakes tank or right next to it, you will be fine. Then again i keep all my snakes in well sealed tubs with low air flow. If your using a huge glass tank, your results may vary.

Well I'm not sure about snakes, but you can't burn anything that gives off smoke around birds. Part of it is because their lungs and systems are so much smaller then our, it affects them a lot quicker then it does us. Imagine holding your face right over the incense and trying to breathe. That's what it is alike for birds. Now since BPs are also small, I take that into concideration and just don't burn anything in my house to be on the safe side. And believe me, there are days when I walk in and I can smell the rats and all I want to do is light up a nice smelling candle lol But I can't, and thats ok with me. I would rather have happy healthy animals and have to smell a little rat now and again, then shorten the life of my animals and make them sick just to smell some nag champa (which I LOVE btw). Just my 2 cents
