    Tub setup's for hatchlings

Was kinda curious what you guys are using to house your hatchlings. I built a 6 tub ( 27 quart) setup last year as a quick setup to hold a few bigger ones after the hatchlings were gone. Noticed I had alot of issues getting them to eat and feel safe. So this year I'm wanting to build something or buy something that I can fit more smaller tubs in. Should only have 2 clutches this year. but next year may have 2-4. I either want to build something cheap I can build again if I need more, or buy something that I can modify.... or... just buy a setup that is ready for balls....

What you all using?? pics?? how you heating?

    Thanks you all!

I have a 6qt htachling rack that I can add additional shelves to when needed, then they go into a 15qt.
    Check out what's available at

What did you use for the shelves? was in all made by you or did you find something that held those tubs perfect??

    I like your setup!

well I don't currently have the rack but will be getting it very soon as I believe an ovulation is not far off but I'm gonna go with the 6 qt hatchling rack from animal plastics. I like the economy racks, I use a space heater for my reptile room so heat isn't an issue. it looks pretty sweet for the cost.

Nice.. I'm trying to to spend 300-400 on a simple setup for 2 clutches right now. Those EP line makes things cheaper. Looks like you can use either the shoe boxes or a biger tub sideways. Good for holdbacks later on!

hell yeah that's my plan. I have a 5 tub adult rack that houses my two right now so being able move up a size from the 6qt's in the same rack is sweet.

We made them all, the hatchling rack is made from off the shelf melamine from Home depot, each shelf has a srtip if wood as a stopper so the tubs don't push through, and I can add shelves as needed, which will be in the next month or so

btw each unit costs less than $100 to make
