New Striped California King

Got a new addition yesterday. Craig's list rescue. Person was moving and needed to find him a new home. Once I saw the snakes living conditions it became a bit of a rescue though. So we have a striped California king, sold to the previous keeper as a male. Appears to be over 4 feet long and in good health. I will do some proper weighing and measuring and all that a few days after the first feed. So without further delay here he is.

Beautiful snake!! And that's great that you could give him a good home!! He has a wonderful stripe... I love striped kings with more of a broken pattern. Hard to believe my little guy is gonna be that big someday

Yeah thats a standard stick of ram. For those of you who don't know how big that is, 5 1/4 inches long. I didn't have a chance to measure but he ways in at 800 grams exactly.

Yeah I felt the 60 dollars the guy wanted for a "rehoming" fee was worth it. It would not have been my first choice for a new addition by a long shot though. I was able to get a half way decent measurement and I am going to say he is anywhere between 4.25 and 4.5 feet long. If I were to go out and get a king snake I think it would be a mexican king or a brooks king. Of course I may still have to do that.

i also got a thayeri king those are cool and s/he is way clamer than my cal kings
