Aw I see. It's a good look either way. Big fan of the Fire Hawk.
You have had to many fast toys, I would be in Jail for life by now (or in debt from court cost) if I had a list like that.

Partly the reason why I got out of sports cars for now. I was constantly getting pulled over. Alot of it was because the officer just wanted to check out my rides and see what I had done... (The Cobra atleast once a week) and tell me about there cars and blah blah blah. Also would get pulled over for noise and tint

I hope we get some big snows this winter so I can go out and play in "Monster Dodge" heh

Driving down I75 in Florida (Lived in Ft. Myers at the time) and just a normal Sun-shower type deal. Usually just some light rain, and not a big deal, but there was a nice sized puddle of standing water on the highway I didn't see until too late. The car hydroplaned and I held it pretty good until the highway took a bit of a curve. Overcorrected and the car snapped back to the left, spun backwards, and ended up in the 15foot ditch you see there.

What I didn't know is that the little off-road excursion broke all the motor and tranny mounts, broke the steering shaft, and a few other things. The body of the car was a mess. I ended up selling it for DIRT cheap.

Oh well, I'm lucky to be alive and glad the car didn't roll or worse. The absolute scariest part was that the car did the same thing two weeks prior on a road by my house. Fortunately I was only doing 35mph and the car ended up between two trees. Both times that the car spun, no one stopped to help me. It was pretty scary being on the highway and flagging anyone for help while waiting for the police and medics to come, and no one stopped....

Yikes, that sounds pretty scary. I guess the only real lesson to take from it is to leave the drag tires at the strip then, unless you live somewhere where it never rains.

I totally hear you on no one helping though; when I was 16, I was a passenger in a friend's car on a rural gravel road at night when he rolled it. He hit a big bump and a pile of loose gravel that a road grader had left at an intersection at the same time, the car got loose, and he couldn't hold it, which meant we went into the steep ditch sideways. The car slid on its roof in the bottom of the ditch for probably 100 yards.

We were walking down the road stopping at farm houses for quite a ways before anyone would help us. First house we stopped at had lights and the TV on, and the dog was friendly, but no one would come to the door. The walking was no big deal, but it sure would have sucked if it had been a situation where one of us was injured and the other had to go for help. (This was in the early to mid '90s, before cell phones were common teenager accessories.)

Heh, my parents always made me wear my seat belt, but there's nothing like hanging from one to confirm the importance of their insistence...

    Sweet ride!!

I had a '02 GTI until some dumb chick ran a stop sign and it got totaled. Replaced it with a '03 GTI!! I liked the 20th edition, but wanted leather, heated seats, etc. Plus the dealer was charging too big of a premium for not that much more care IMO.

I originally had big plans for mine. I had it APR'd, techtonics exhaust, H&R cup-kit on it, Injen CAI, and was going to put a big turbo on it. But school got too expensive and ended up selling everything and going back to stock. Kept the CAI though, just sounded too cool to give up.

Now that I've graduated, I keep thinking of maybe getting her chipped again, though with 100K miles now, not sure if its worth it.
