Biscuits and Gravy, looks like RI.....

Well I had Hera out earlier to spot clean her tank and held her for a bit and loved on her. As I was getting ready to put her back in her tank when I felt something wet run down my arm, at first I thought she had peed on me (would be preferable) but it was clear and looked just like snot.

[Shoot] So I checked her throat using a q-tip to force her mouth open and sure enough I some some small bubbles in her throat. She isn't wheezing or making any clicking sounds or even seem to be having trouble breathing. Nevertheless I have called the vet and am waiting on them to call back........[Mother of Pearl]

Yeah I won't be able to get her in likely until around the 27th or the 28th. I'm hoping that it turns out to be nothing and I am just being paranoid, but yeah better safe than sorry. [shoot] and we just spent most of what we had on Christmas presents too......

    Re: looks like RI.....

sometimes they get water in their nose or maybe she was laying in the water. if it was in its hide when u pulled it out did u see any condensation on top of the hide. sometimes it gets humid in their hide and they may get water on them or in their nose. bump ur temps up a few degrees and keep ur ambient temps up.

A room full of empty racks and thermostats that have been unplugged.

OUCH! Yeah that will hurt, but the vet we would see is VERY well known and has been given mad props (his name is Kevin Fitzgerald) and I have been told that his prices aren't too bad. I've already raised her temps and I'll keep a check on her, if she does nothing else and has no sneezing or wheezing I may wait and see what happens.

When I picked her up she was near her water bowl since that is the hot side and since I had fed her yesterday morning she was over there to help digest. I never heard any noises or anything and it wasn't until I was done cleaning her tank and I was putting her back in that I felt it.

It was wet and slightly cold and ran down my arm like water but when I looked at it more closely it looked just like very runny mucus. She then opened her mouth and I was like "oh [shoot]" and I immediately put her back in, raised the temps and called the vet.

I hope like hell that the new corn we just got last night doesn't already have it.

They didn't necessarily stand for a specific word, [in your first post] but it's still not allowed. There are lots of rules, trust me I've received a warning myself It's because this site is used by teachers with their students so we have to keep it as family friendly as possible. I'm glad it made you laugh, that's my favorite expression to use around children, oh biscuits and gravy!

Yeah I really should read ALL forum rules when I join one but as long as I don't act like a total tool I usually never have any issues. Thanks for letting me know though!
