    Real XMas Trees and BPs?

Okay, so I know it's a bit irrational but do you think it would affect a ball python if I got a real Christmas tree this year, as opposed to my usual fake one? Obviously I'm not going to be like putting the snake on the tree or anything like that but wondering if just having it would be harmful?

I doubt it would have any impact. My understanding is the danger from certain woods comes from the sap, which tends not to get airborn.

Of course I still wouldn't put my BP under the christmas tree

Breeders, some well known have used pine bedding and still do with no ill effects.

The tree wont harm anything unless theres allergies to pine

Your snakes should be fine. I wouldn't want to offer a guarantee, because one never knows. But there shouldn't be any problems.

    Good Luck and Merry Christmas,

I've had a real tree the last 2 years in my place with my snakes setup about 5 ft. away from it and have had no problems.

I believe that its the oils in the wood that is a problem. It can be an irritant to snakes.
