You think that's a long time? One of my girls didn't eat for NINE months, and a few others have been fasting for the last 2-3 months. Don't worry, it's pretty typical this time of year (breeding season) - especially with ball pythons. Unless there's a sign of medical illness, like runny poop or respiratory problems, I wouldn't worry too much. Just keep offering as often as you'd like, and eventually he will decide to start eating again. Welcome to the world of ball pythons, LOL.

P.S. If you really want him to start eating again, you could try offering live prey... sometimes that snaps a f/t feeder out of their fast. But he's probably just noticing the weather, and thinks it's time for some sweet lovin'.

dont worry my 900 gram albino het pied female will only eat when she wants to. Live\ft rats\mice etc it dont matter. She finally took a live rat a few weeks ago and has refused every meal since. she is not under weight so as long as there health is good youll be fine. For the older bps they like to go off food this time of year for the breeding season. I wouldnt worry unless shes drastically loosing weight

yea for a 2 y/o bp even 3 or 4 months isnt really all that horrible.. you have nothing to worry about

this time of year he probably thinks hes gonna get some lol and no need to switch to live yet if you do and he starts eating regular again you will have to switch him back to f/t which probably wont be easy just offer it less often like every 2 weeks so you waist less rats.. he will eat and if he gets hungry between offerings you will know by his behavior

Most of the males that I've had experience with REALLY cut back on how often they'll eat once they hit about 2 years old. Most of mine tend to eat a meal or two every couple of months and that's about it.

Yeah, I've noticed that too! My pastel boy Toby was a GREAT eater until he was around 18 months old... now he eats for a few weeks, stops for 1-2 months, and continues this cycle all year. He's a small guy but not skinny, so I have to assume he knows what's needed to be healthy.
