looking into getting a super dwarf retic but want to know what im getting into before i buy it and cant seem to find alot of info on them. could anyone assist me in finding a good caresheet?

what do u wanna know? as far as if read their requirements are much like a mainlands, but with a smaller size. they have really fast metabolisms and if not givin a big enough cage will push and push hard from what iv been told. they are also much more flighty and quick not as calm as mainlands so id make sure u do your reading before you get one thinking youll get a mainland attitude in a 6ft snake, not saying they wont calm down. also watch when u buy them, because iv been told very few people are working with pure super dwarfs and most are just part dwarf, like 75% dwarf 25% mainland or so on. so youll want to get from a reputable breeder especially if u plan on breeding a pair down the line.

There should be a good amount of threads on SD's...They have continually been the talk of the forum for quite sometime and many of the members including myself have them. I'm sure others will chime in soon. Have to head out to work or I'd add more..

Also be prepared that even though you are getting a "Super Dwarf" these animals still get large in size some 8-10'. Breeders breed them at 6-8 feet sometimes, but I'm telling you they still can get 10 feet especially females, unless you find a quality proven line. Quality lines will be costly. The husbandry is really like any other python just in a little bit bigger scale. Large snakes need the same fresh water, same temp gradients, hides, with a little more humidity than a ball. 60-85% is good, so a solid lid that holds humidity for me would be ideal.
