Wouldn't know it by the weather lately! They keep teasing us with snow predictions and then it never comes. I'm in the south part of the city, too...so it shouldn't be hit as hard as the north gets it. Still...yeah...I'm not too eager to get out there and test my ice-driving!

No thanks! I'm already taking my brand new van into the shop tomorrow to pay $2300 to get a smushed up bumper fixed. (I was NOT driving! ) I don't need any more broken van!

Beautiful snakes, but I agree with others that the axanthic's photos are doctored in some way. I work a lot in Photoshop, so I can see that portions of the photo were 'enhanced'.

I don't doubt that it is a beautiful animal, but the animal is actually shades of flat grey throughout (not even the slightest hue of color) and there is always some color even in black/grey/white things due to light, shading, and environment. I tested the snake by pulling the color directly from the photo in Photoshop, the entire snake is flat... even if the snake were completely grey and black (and essentially colorless) in real life, the photo would not turn out like a black and white photo with portions in color.

A few other things pop out, like the fact that a portion of the rodent's foot is flat grey in the first picture, I color pulled and it has no color...

There are also portions of the snake where the color was not entirely removed (in the first photo) like the very top left of where the neck is going under the body, a portion directly in front of the snake's eyes, and scattered portions of the snake just above where the newspaper lays over the snake. I can blow up and post the portions with color but I think that is going overboard...

Also, in the skin between the scales where the neck is stretched for the rodent, we should see the pinks of the skin, but we don't.

Please Please Please don't take this as an attack at all, it is not meant as such, I think many others already see how flat the image is and are sure the snakes are beautiful regardless. Maybe I am just overly skeptical, but the portions of the snake where the color was not removed completely has a much more convincing palette.

Beautiful snakes, enchis are one of my favorites by far, and grats on them being great eaters

As someone who has personally grown up what is considered by most to be a exceptional Axanthic I can say with certainty that is a doctored picture. I'd dissect the picture with Photoshop to explain my point but right now I am at work and Photobucket is blocked but if I remember right there is hardly any pink in the Axanthic's neck when it's eating.

Compare that to just that Enchi pic and you'll notice a lot more pink on the bottom part of it's neck where its skin is stretching, this happens to all snakes, no matter what morph it is. You can see where the pink sort of is but it looks like it was cleaned up with a brush or an Erase tool.

Like I said I hate to be a prude but Axanthic's keepers have a hard enough time proving the color of their animals without people intentionally doctoring their photos.

It was snowing a bit earlier than this last year, but it will start to pick up soon. In the meantime, I'm loving the current weather. It was gorgeous yesterday!
