Bloody Urate Trail?
I was going to put my male spider to one of my big female normals. Both have been to the vet and checked out with clean bills of health, but I'm thinking my female may need to go back to the vet. I put him in her tank and she immediately started making a urate trail, but there was a little bit of blood. I got scared and pulled my male out immediately, to get online and see if this is normal or not. After a while using google and searching this forum, I am stumped! I'll be calling the vet to make her another appointment for the next opening.

Re: Bloody Urate Trail?
It's normal. I'm not sure why it happens but I know any time I start introducing male and female for breeding I see the same thing. It's from the females tail wagging and dragging their "stuff" around. Probably has something to do with scent stimulation...

It happens.. It normally means she's interested. Some people call them "Tracks" you'll see the males dragging their Hemipene's around leaving little bloody marks that's just their way of saying.. "how you doooing"

I was beyond freaking out! My other girls breeding this year didn't do any of that their urate trails while messy were completely normal. The blood just scared me that something was wrong with her. So, I guess I can call and cancel the vet appointment I just made for next week.
