Normals, probably. Breedable weight pastel female in the middle of breeding season for $1K or less?

Seriously though, my breedable weight pastel female - no way I'd let her go at any time of the year for $1K or less, but most ESPECIALLY during breeding season.

As to the poll - get what you love. Period. And enjoy the time and the satisfaction of the next couple years of raising them up yourself. I have the most satisfaction from my big girls that I raised from little hatchlings than I do from the females I acquired through trade or through happenstance (like a pet store find from an owner surrender).

    My thoughts exactly.

I'd also think about getting a male equal to that female bee of yours. She deserves to be paired with some powerhouse breeding potential.

For 750.00 I'd shop around for another combo female.. Not sure what they can be had for but I'd pass on the pin and get a Lemon Blast female or a Pewter female for 1K pied's can be had as can G-Stripes, some clowns, hypo pastels, Hypo Mojo's, there's allot to be had in that price range..

now one thing is i really want a pin. so thats a little less than 300 gone.
so i got 700-750 to work with.

i have a 1000gram male pastel at home and a 150 gram butter male.
a bumble bee female 300grams+ and a normal female 1500grams+

now i was thinking of going for a few lower cost morphs.

now i also like enchi's, and was thinking woma.

and obviously if i could find a nice butter/lesser im probably going to.

but all in the poll will be females to breed to my butter and pastel males. my butter obviously next season.

but im hoping to find some larger females to have as breeders next season. i know i probably wont find any morphs at larger sizes but, im sure
that i'll find some nice normals or one base morph like a pastel female tipping the scales.

I think $1,000 can get you a female mojave and a female lemonblast. Get both from one breeder to get a discount.

male butter+ mojo = possible BEL
butter + lemonblast = possible kingpin, pastel butter, kingpin pastel

    This is what I think

I would, buy the enchi female, and the pin. Honostly i just got. A pin, 2 fires, and ayellowbelly for 650, so deals are out their. And they are top knotch animals. Focus on the enchi and pin, maybe get a butter or lesser female. That together you could probably bargin for 500 or even less possibly. Focus on your pastels after that. Look for top knotch brighter then bright pastels. Maybe even a black pastel or cinny as well. With 1000 dollars, you should be able to greatly expand. But remember, their are deals everywhere and sometimes its not the best to go to a show for animals. Look around the web.

Also, if you are new to the industry or just trying to build that collection, get the pricy snakes as males. Get more females and you have a greater chance to get something out of it

ok! thanks to everyone who posted and polled! lol

so i have made my decision.

im going to go to the expo and buy me a spectacular lemon-blast. and maybe if i could find the right mojo' or lesser fem. i will! but i have someone who has a female mojo thats exactly the way i want her to look! take a peek!

if i cant find one exactly like her! i'll just buy it from my guy!
she's only 300, and i know i'll find a lemon-blast for 6-700. i found a bunch at the pasadena expo and i know theres gonna be a heck load more at the expo in pomona!

    wish me luck!

If you like Albinos then get an Albino. After all, you will be looking at it everyday so you should get your favorite. I would invest in a Pied female and go with someone that will throw in a het Pied male for free!

Just a thought for you. You already have 2 males and 2 females. I would focus everything on females probably 8 more for those 2 males. Production is a good thing. I would try and steer clear of recessive and go all codom. And that mojo in the pic looks great! You should def go for something that looks like that. But enchi is the morph to breed into. The pastel to enchi will get you more than the BEL!

Re: if it was you, what road would you take?

With 1k to spend knowing your gonna buy a female pin....Do your shopping know what you want and look for the best buys on quality examples of the morph you are lookin at.... Things I would be looking for to put with a butter or pastel male

    Fire
    Mojave
    enchi
black pastel (or cinny depending on what you like)
calico or sugar(take a big chunk of budget but worth it)
Hypo (be a project to work with, but hypo makes everything hott)
