Newspaper ball trick?

How long have you had him/her?
When did you change him from bark to paper towel?
What size tank tub was he in?
What are your temps, what are you using for heat and how are you controlling the heat?
What are you feeding?
Are the 3 sides of your tank covered?

And to answer your original question I would add more crumpled newspaper,

he was in a 30-40gal
temps are 80cold 93hot. i use a 30-40 gal UTH controlled with a rheostat.
feeding live mice (adult)
3 sides are covered (can kind of see in the picture) With magazine pages.
