This is why I started working in a pet shop in the first place, because of how awful the knowledge people have/give can be. One lady once came in with a savannah monitor that was all scale rot on it's belly. She had been told by a local reptile "expert" to keep it on soupy cypress mulch. When I explained what a savannah is, how savannah monitors like to be kept, and showed her my 3 adults that were(they perished in a fire) perfectly healthy, she accused me of lying because I was not a self-proclaimed reptile "expert... Later found out that guy also sells hard drugs out of his reptile shop. Bad news.

We got reptile stores out here n I find it funny that they put het on anything. Het pied, het albino, het wutever. Then I asked for genetics or proof and they say they have none. Doesnt make sense to pay a het price for something you dont know is het. Everyday a sucker is borned I tell u.
